This year Daniel Buckett was lucky enough to get a place in the London Marathon to run on behalf of all of us at The Point. He trained hard and promised us that he would be ready to start out with all those other brave souls on Sunday 26th April 2009, and he kept his promise and completed it in a fantastic time of 5 hours and 42 minutes! Well Done Daniel.
Apart from the personal challenge of the race, Daniel’s main reason for running was the refurbishment of our kitchen at the centre which is beginning to show its age and needs bringing fully up to date. All the sponsorship money raised will go towards this project which will benefit everyone who uses the kitchen, members and staff alike. The total so far is over £1443 and is still rising! Thank you to all who have sponsored Daniel.

British 10k London Run
Last year we entered 12 runners for this race and raised around £1,900. This year we had no less than 18 runners
We hope to raise money to refurbish the kitchen at The Point. Your sponsorship was welcomed. We would like the kitchen and its equipment to be as easily accessible to members as all other parts of the centre and we needed to raise as much as we could. We were sure our runners would triumph again and we wished them all the best of luck.
A big thank you to all those who took part and everyone who sponsored us and a Huge thank you to British Oxygen for there support - Cheers !
